Cherry Beach Engagement Photos

There’s no doubt about it; we love, love, LOVE Cherry Beach engagement sessions.  There’s just something about the soft sand, the open waters and the amazing breeze that makes us return there time and time again.  One of the other SUPER awesome things about Cherry Beach is that it’s literally just a hop, skip and a jump away from Polson Pier.

Why is that awesome?

Variety, baby!  ‘Tis the spice of life, no?

The beach is great; we really could spend the whole session there – but adventuring is so much fun!  Kathy and Derrick’s engagement session is a two-parter and this is part one; the Cherry Beach engagement photos portion.

There’s something magical that happens when a couple is able to laugh together.  Laughter is powerful.  Laughter is truly a necessity in a relationship.  Laughter helps ease people, make them calm in situations of stress.  It helps build trust as it allows you to show a wee bit of vulnerability.  Laughter is soothing; it reminds you that there is always something good in life to be thankful for and that there is always something that brings you joy.

When we see couples who are so flawlessly able to laugh together; smile together and be truly present in each other’s love, we KNOW that the wedding day is going to be only the first chapter in a life long love story.  Kathy and Derrick are going to have one of these awesome life-long love stories; seeing the two of them together absolutely melted our hearts!

Is a stroll on the beach considered cliché or romantic?  Either way; these lovebirds were more than happy to stroll along, hand in hand, and take in the beautiful views on a hot summer evening.

To Kathy and Derrick; you two are just the bees knees!  Working with you was a pleasure and we are so very anxious to get to do it again on your wedding day!
