The day started with coffee and waffles and a few engagement photos at The Starving Artist. After we were well caffeinated and our bellies bursting with tasty treats, we hopped in the car and began chapter 2 of Kevin and Danyelle’s engagement story.
Kevin and Danyelle are an active couple; whether it’s a hike through the hills or an intense game of ultimate frisbee, these lovebirds are always out and about which is why Hilton Falls Conservation Area was a natural choice for them when trying to decide where to take their engagement photos. We walked the paths, marveling at how spring had so quickly began to, well… spring… all while fighting off a constant barrage of black flies. Once we hiked long enough to burn off the calories from a waffle or two we arrived to our destination – beautiful Hilton Falls!
I hope you enjoy chapter 2 of Kevin and Danyelle’s story – their Hilton Falls Conservation Area engagement photos:
During a wedding ceremony you’ll often see a bride and groom light a unity candle or pour different coloured sand into a vase; it’s a symbol of commitment and unity. During an engagement session however? Never. Unless you’re Kevin and Danyelle… they’re pretty awesome and opted for something extra special as a part of their session. As a favour received from a friend’s wedding, they received some little saplings. They planed the trees together during their session – the saplings now live in the Hilton Falls forest, a safe and secure spot with plenty of sunshine to help them grow strong for years to come.
No more time for kisses and cuddles… it’s time to wrap up the night! What better way to do this than with a game of frisbee! I love the energy these two have and can’t wait to see what the story of their wedding day will tell!
