Kortright Center Wedding Photography in Autumn
Jess and Justin’s Kortright Center wedding photography gallery is one of the sweetest galleries I’ve posted as of late. The images are rustic, natural and filled with so much emotion that you almost don’t realize that snowflakes can be found in the background of some of these images. Yes, it was indeed quite cold the day these two ventured to the Kortright Center and tied the knot, but with warm apple cider, cocoa and mittens for the guests, it was easy to forget how chilly it was.
I had a chance to capture Jess and Justin’s Adamson Estate engagement photos earlier last year. I knew as soon as I began working with them that they were going to be a GREAT couple to work with. Not only are they fellow photographers but our senses of humour match up precisely – photographing their engagement, as well as their wedding day, was more along the lines of hanging out with friends.
This is, by far, one of my favourite first-look images. Jess’ maid of honour had the privilege of standing on her tip-toes to help cover Justin’s eyes. First look’s don’t have to be spectacularly orchestrated – they can be simple and sweet and just as sincere.
Psssst! There’s those pesky snow flakes I was talking about! Go away Mr. Snow – we’re hoping for a fall wedding here! Luckily Jess & Justin were prepared for a cold snap and made cure their guests had everything they needed to stay warm and comfy during their outdoor wedding ceremony.
As part of Jessica’s cultural heritage, the couple opted for a handfasting ceremony as part of their traditional wedding ceremony.
In lieu of a traditional guest book, Jess and Justin opted for a Quest book. Jess is a successful children’s author (take a peek at her book How to Outrun a Crocodile when your Shoes are Intied) so it was only fitting that they had a “quest book” for their guests to fill out. I just admit – I’m jealous! This is such a fantastic idea and I wish I had one, too!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
