Renata & Adam | Barry’s Bay Wedding Photography

Although I don’t photographer international destination weddings, I do photograph throughout Ontario and this allows me to see some truly amazing nooks and crannies of our province.

Renata and Adam, although from Toronto, chose to tie the knot in a little community called Barry’s Bay.  Barry’s Bay is a lovely area that is about 1.5 hours north east of Peterborough and perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony!  Renata and Adam chose a very special location within Barry’s Bay – a campground that Renata’s family has been vacationing at for years – for their wedding day celebrations.

Unlike many couples, Renata and Adam chose to take their wedding photos before the ceremony began.  I love it when couples choose to do their wedding photos prior to the ceremony; not only does it allow for more time in which to take the photos, but it also allows for the clients to to visit with their guests post-ceremony and have an uninterrupted afternoon.  After a last minute photo-location change, we opted to take all of our photos at the campsite to facilitate transportation.

The photo session started with the bride and groom’s first look.  I’ve written about bride and groom’s first-look experience before and, I must admit, every time I see a couple choose to do an intimate first-look, I believe even more strongly in it!  When you first see your bride or groom, you have so much to say to them!  You’re awestruck at how fantastic they look and you’re overcome by a flood of emotions.  Doing a first look prior to the ceremony allow you to openly express all of those emotions instead of keeping it all bottled up during the length of the ceremony if you choose not to see each other prior to the walk down the aisle.

The beautiful and peaceful outdoor ceremony was followed by dinner and dancing.  With their friends and family gathered around them and partying hard on the dance floor, Adam and Renata enjoyed every moment of their wedding day!
