Toronto Lifestyle Photographer
Hello!! It’s pretty darn exciting to see that you’ve stumbled on the part of my website that is devoted to being a Toronto Lifestyle Photographer; yes – we shoot more than weddings! In 2016, after we learned that we’d be having a family of our own, we opted to add more family-oriented sessions into our service catalog. If you keep scrolling you’ll see a list of our featured stories (a.k.a. Blog posts) as well as links and info about pricing, what types of sessions we offer and how to book.
When we’re shooting weddings, our goal is to capture a story in the most natural way possible; unobtrusively and beautifully. In 2016 we began to offer this type of storytelling photography to clients in non-wedding settings and officially launched our Toronto Lifestyle Photographer services. The types of sessions offered include: Family sessions, maternity sessions, newborn sessions, children’s session and confidence session (aka a modern approach to boudoir).
Below you’ll find a series of blog entries (ie: tonnes of pretty pictures) as well as a slideshow portfolio. If you keep scrolling down you’ll find some frequently asked questions as well as some information about our sessions. Lifestyle sessions start at an introductory rate of $349 and are available year round. Send us an email at [email protected] to book your session!

Toronto Lifestyle Photographer: Quick FAQs
What is Lifestyle Photography?
Some people say that lifestyle photography is candid photography; but in reality, it’s so much more than just that! Lifestyle photography is a type of storytelling photography. While traditional photography is based on stiff poses, lifestyle photography tells the story of you at that very moment in time. It’s genuine, it’s uninterrupted and it’s filled with raw emotion. It’s a way of turning those intangible, fleeting moments in life into tangible photos.

While those are some of the traditional times when someone would benefit from a lifestyle photography session, there are also a lot of times in life that are worth documenting via a lifestyle sessions too, including:
- decorating the Christmas tree/holiday crafts
- bringing home a new pet

- … anything you can imagine!
Who are your clients?
Lifestyle photography isn’t always the best style of photography for everyone and that’s totally okay!
Our clients are people who find the beauty in every day life. They are people who are relaxed and trust in the flow of the session, the emotions present and who are genuine in love with the beauty of every day life. They are not people who ask the kids to pose certain ways or guide their behaviour during sessions; they are not people who give their kids the “Seriously child, PLEASE be good and smile at the camera” talk before the session. They are people who know the importance of not taking those fleeting moments for granted. Our clients are amazing and working with them bring such joy and pleasure into our lives.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place either in your home, your backyard or any place that is special to you. There are certain characteristics of outdoor locations that are important in achieving great photos and we’ll discuss this during your pre-session consult. If you’re opting for an in-home consult, we’ll go over some ways to ensure we have great light there, too!
