When I heard that Erin was engaged I was thrilled! I have known Erin since high school and her and Sean have been together almost as long as I’ve known her. (Can we all say “It’s about time, Sean!”) Sean and Erin compliment each other unlike anyone else I know – they truly are the perfect match!
Erin and Sean were planning an intimate destination wedding but still wanted to do some unique engagement photos before hopping on the plane to paradise. I was so honoured when Erin contacted me. Why? Well, not only because it was such a compliment that she would put her trust in me to tell the story of her engagement but because she was more than willing to drive 8-hours to Toronto for the session. I decided that since Erin and Sean were making such an extreme trip just for engagement photos, I was going to take them on a tour of the city!
The day started with a little Adamson Estate engagement photography as we chatted, laughed and got Erin and Sean comfortable in front of the camera. The scenic view of the lake couples with the barn and earthy surroundings of the estate helped Erin and Sean feel right at home.
Although the weather wasn’t exactly sunny, the rain managed to stay away for most of the day as we headed into downtown for a few more engagement photos at U of T.
Our evening finished with a trip to the heart of the city: dundas square! There are few intersections that can define Toronto like Dundas square can. With the sun long set and the bright lights of the city on high, Erin and Sean braved a quick run into the intersection (don’t worry, it was during the scramble!) for one of the most memorable night photography engagement photos I have ever taken!
It was such a pleasure to take Erin and Sean on a tour of the city (and beyond) and to be able to capture the story of their love and engagement. I wish you both a lifetime of joy, laughter and love!
