What a delight it is to write my first wedding blog post! As I write this, Anne and Ron are on their honeymoon enjoying their first few days as husband and wife – I sure hope they enjoy seeing the photos when they return!
I work with Anne at one of the major hospital here in Toronto – I happened to notice a big shiny ring on her finger one morning and she told me that just the night before, Ron had popped the question! I was so happy for her! Needless to say, the next few weeks, in between all of our work duties, the conversations turned to wedding, wedding, wedding! We got on the topic of wedding photos and at first, Anne and Ron weren’t even sure if they were going to have a wedding photographer since they wanted to keep their wedding very small and intimate. I told Anne all about my Build-Your-Own Wedding packages and how they can be perfect for couples who want great photos while staying within their budget and she jumped at the idea. (And while we were at it, we made arrangements for me to play the role of makeup artist, too – but that’s another post!)
The wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect! Not only was the weather gorgeous, but everyone was smiling, laughing and enjoying the company of one another. The ceremony took place at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Scarborough – a lovely, modern, church that is a photographers dream to work in (plenty of good lighting!) After the ceremony, we rushed off to the Old Davis Tannery for some formal shots with the bride and groom. The tanner is a wonderful place for wedding photos – there’s a variety of backdrops to use and some really interesting architecture.
Thank you, Anne & Ron, for letting me be a part of your day! I wish you both all the happiness in the world!
