Gairloch Gardens Wedding Photos
These Gairloch Gardens wedding photos are some of my favourite wedding photos taken at a park.
When you’re a Toronto wedding photographer, you often find your clients asking about which park would be the best choice for photos and my typical answer is… well…. none. While places like the Toronto Botanical Gardens, Edwards Gardens, Alexander Muir Gardens and High Park are beautiful, when it comes to wedding days they can be a tad chaotic (to put it politely). While these parks are popular because they are no doubtedly gorgeous, the popularity of these parks means long lines of limousines; half a dozen (or more) wedding parties competing for the same spot and a plethora of people in the background. Gairloch Gardens, on the other hand, has all the beauty of the Toronto parks plus it’s on the waterfront for a little added awesomeness.
The wedding morning started with the normal business of a wedding day; music playing, mimosa’s being poured and hair and makeup products everywhere. Just the way I love to start my day.
As we started our wedding photos at Gairloch Gardens, the clouds quickly rolled in. It lead to some great shots with a stormy sky but after a minute or two, the winds picked up and the rain came down. It was a day of 35+ weather and the rains were brief; just enough to cool things down. It was so great to be near the water and get that refreshing breeze.
When the drum beats strong and the energy high, the reception began with the Zaffa. The Zaffa is a tradition in Ramy’s culture; it’s a musical march and celebration into the reception. Everyone got up and danced with the newlyweds; no matter what their age they were on the dancefloor. It was truly a remarkable experience to be a part of.
Thank you Jacqui and Ramy for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! Wishing you and your families a lifetime of love and happiness! xoxo
