Through the power of social media, Andrew and Andrea got their first glimpse at Ten·2·Ten Photography! Facebook is a wonderful tool for small businesses and without it, I never would have had the pleasure of meeting this truly amazing couple!
Andrew and Andrea planned an unbelievably gorgeous wedding at the Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener Ontario. It was my first time photographing at the Hacienda Sarria and I must say, I can’t wait to return! Both Andrew and Andrea have impeccable taste and after stepping foot into the Spanish-inspired building I could see why they made it their choice for their special day. The building is designed in a Spanish style and is filled with commissioned art work, beautiful and unique iron work, gorgeous wooden doors, and stone masonry. Unlike many other halls, the Hacienda Sarria contains everything a bride and groom need for their wedding day from a stunning and spacious bridal suite to a breathtaking reception area. Oh, let’s not forget, the photos you can take at this place are truly amazing! Whether inside or out, the Hacienda Sarria is a beautiful backdrop for photos. But enough about my absolute love for that building, let’s talk more about Andrew and Andrea and their special day!
Andrea and her bridesmaids got ready in the beautiful bridal suite. What a great bunch of girls to be around – easy to talk to and incredibly funny! Andrea sure is lucky to have such amazing friends. After Andrea was dressed and ready we started our bridal photo session in the suite. A beautiful room for a beautiful bride!
During the ceremony, Andrew and Andrea had a ring-warming ceremony. It was the first time I had ever seen this done and I was really touched by it. The little ring bearer helped pass the two rings (tightly tied to a cushion that Andrea knit herself!) through the hands of all the guests. As the guests hold the ring, they say a silent prayer or blessing for the marriage.
Andrew and Andrea aren’t big on dancing so their first dance lasted for approximately 20 seconds. I’m serious! So the pressure was on to get some creative and meaningful shots in the little time that I had. Judging by the fact that both Andrew and Andrea loved their photos, I’d say I succeeded.
Thank you so much Andrew and Andrea for choosing me to be a part of your special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!
