Lisa and Jaiel finally tied the knot!
In the spring of 2011, I received a lovely email from Lisa. Lisa was looking for a Toronto wedding photographer and happened to stumble my website during an internet search. She looked over my portfolio and fell in love with my work – she said she needed to have me photograph her wedding!
After meeting with Lisa & Jaiel for the first time, I knew I’d be getting to work with fantastic clients! They are both so passionate about life and their love for each other. They planned a beautiful wedding day that was built around three very important things: family, friends and food!
We started the morning at Lisa’s aunt’s house. Lisa and her girls shared mimosa’s and laughs as they began the wedding morning ritual of hair and makeup! When I arrived I found Lisa infront of a mirror, applying her own makeup. Aside from being a caring, kind and loving woman, she also knows her way around a make-up kit better than some pros I know! As I watched her use all kinds of different brushes and colours to create her perfect wedding day look, I began to see her transform into a bride!
Lisa donned her gorgeous mermaid cut wedding dress along with help from her mom and aunt. She added some jewelry and some stunning purple heels and the transformation was complete!
We headed off to Kleinburg for our wedding photos prior to the ceremony. Many brides and grooms choose to take their wedding photos before the ceremony since it results in a much more relaxed day and more time for create photos. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Kleinburg, it’s in the north western part of Toronto. Kleinburg is a beautiful little village with a stunning vintage railway station. Lisa, Jaiel and I spent over an hour and a half at the Kleinburg railway station and the resulting photos are some of my absolute favourite to date!
After our photos were done, we headed of to the Borgatta reception hall in Vaughn for both the ceremony and the reception. As Lisa walked down the aisle she was absolutely beaming! She was just a few minutes about from becoming Mrs. Perez!
The reception was fantastic! Before dinner was served, Jaiel had a special surprise for Lisa – he and his brother sang to her. As a wedding photographer, I have seen and heard many touching and heartfelt speeches and surprises but I had yet to see a groom serenade his new wife. Needless to say, even I cried.
Lisa and Jaiel chose a wonderful menu and all their friends and family were raving about how delicious the food was. After dinner was done, it was time to work off some of that spectacular cuisine on the dancefloor. Lisa and Jaiel hit the dancefloor first and right before the party started, Lisa made a quick change into an adorable party dress so she could dance the night away!
Thank you so much Lisa & Jaiel for choosing Ten·2·Ten Photography to capture the memories of your wedding day. It was truly a pleasure to work with you and your friends and families!
