One of the best things about being a Toronto wedding photographer is that you can so easily drive past the boundaries of the city and explore new and exiting locations! Don’t get me wrong – I love Toronto and everything it has to offer — but I also love exploring new photography locations, too! When I heard that Amy & Fernando’s big day was going to include some Liuna Station wedding photos I was like a kid in a candy store! If you follow my blog regularly, you’ll notice that I try to incorporate night photography into as many weddings as possible so when I thought about Liuna Station wedding photography I immediately thought about night time… and then, you know, the whole kid-in-a-candy-store thing happened but I think I’ll let the final image of this post speak for itself.
The day started at the bride’s parents home; a warm and inviting household filled with some pretty darn fantastic people. Sisters, friends, cousins – everyone gathered to not only support Amy and Fernando but also to get beautified! Watching the makeup artists skillfully apply their colours is almost hypnotic; with just a few strokes of a brush they can change an already stunning woman into a jaw dropping model! And of course, the little flower girls couldn’t be bothered with any of it – I love watching the kid’s reaction to wedding days!
With Amy looking jaw-droppingly gorgeous it was time to hit the road and head to Liuna Station where we greated by not only historic elegance but a dashing groom, too.
The knot has been officially tied!
Post-ceremony the newlyweds along with their stellar wedding party hopped into their limo and headed to the Pier.
If you haven’t noticed yet, that beautiful brunette in the black dress is Fernando’s sister, but most importantly… the best woman. (Who says your groomsmen have to be all guys?)
The hot summer sun was traded for the beautiful ambiance of the King George Hall at Liuna Station. Fernando, Amy and their families greeted their guests as they arrived before making their own grand entrance into the reception with their first dance.
Remember what I said at the beginning? About Liuna station wedding photos and night photography? I had this shot in mind from the time I heard what the venue was and let me say – Amy and Fernando pulled off the perfect “dip & kiss” and helped me created one of my favourite images to date!
The day the perfect, the night was perfect, overall… there really is no other word to describe Amy & Fernando’s wedding day. It was simply perfect.
Thank you so very much, Amy and Fernando, so allowing me to capture the story of your wedding day. And a huge thank you to your families and friends who made me feel so welcomed on the day. I wish you all nothing but happiness!! xoxo
