If you didn’t catch the first part of Vanessa + David’s McLean House Wedding Photos, you better not miss out! There were so many amazing photos from the day we simply had to separate the post into two for the sake of not overloading the post with images.
So here’s a little secret about Toronto wedding photographers. We all have our “thing” that we love photographing. Some photographers actually like destination work. Others love the super urban settings and being downtown. While I enjoy a variety, I really do love photographing at historic homes and venues such as McLean House or Vaughan Estates. They have such character to them and you can always find beautiful nooks and crannies in which to get creative. And the best part? You can get really, REALLY creative with night photography.
That’s right folks, just keep scrolling and you’ll see what I mean!
Rachel A. Clingen did a truly spectacular job with the decor for this wedding. There wasn’t a single element that was out of place. Everything was literally picture perfect, don’t you think?
They’re in love. In fact, they are are so, SO much in love that none of the smooching had to be prompted. These two cuddly lovebirds are no-doubt, head over heels for each other.
When it came time for the reception, the speeches were a hit! If you ask most people what the “boring” part of a wedding is, they’ll immediately say “speeches!” but that certainly was not the case here. Vanessa + David’s friends and family are all amazing speakers. Their speeches were heartfelt and entertaining and really brought out the laughs, giggles and tears of happiness from everyone around. Being a photojournalist, candid images are what I strive for. When you have entertaining speeches like these, your job becomes extra enjoyable.
The night ended with some awesome night photos. Remember at the beginning of this post when I said that historic venues can be ultra-creative? This is why!
