Rattlesnake Point Engagement Photos

When it comes to choosing a location for your engagement photos, it’s pretty easy to get overwhelmed.  Once you see these Rattlesnake Point engagement photos, though, you’ll wonder why you ever considered any other location!

What I absolutely love about Rattlesnake Point is that you can walk forever and be surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery throughout your entire walk.  From the tallest trees to the rocky cliffs, you definitely need to hit up Rattlesnake Point if you’re looking for a romantic and sweet way to spend the afternoon with your main squeeze!!  Speaking of squeeze…. I love how easily Maggie fits into Shaun’s arms.  He can wrap his arms around her and they are truly meant to fit together.

Shooting this session brought Sarah so much joy; not only did she get to know Maggie + Shaun better but she had the opportunity to capture that special bond between them.  I sincerely hope you love these photos as much as I do!

Rattlesnake Point Engagement Photo Tips

  • The best time of day for engagement photos at Rattlesnake Point is about 2 hours before the sun sets.  The best views are west facing which means you’ll get a stunning, golden setting sun during this time!
  • It may not be the most enticing or romantic scent, but bug spray is a must!  Rattlesnake point is a highly wooded location with many little ponds and areas of standing water.  This means it’s mosquito heaven!  Having big red mosquito bites is never fun but it’s especially not-fun when you’re getting your photo taken!  Opt for bug spray just prior to your session to help keep those pesky bugs at bay.
  • Think pretty and practical for your footwear.  When shooting at Rattlesnake Point, you’re going to cover a lot of ground!  Most of the time we end up walking 2 or 3 kilometers during the session so avoid spiky heels and opt for a more modest (but still stylish!) pair of flats instead.
