Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement Photos

It’s been a while since we hopped in the car for a roadtrip so when Shirley + Michael suggested taking Rockwood Conservation Area engagement photos we were SOOOOO into the idea!

If you haven’t been to Rockwood Conversation area yet – go.  Even if you’re not looking for a photo location, just GO!  Explore!  It’s such a beautiful and wonderful place.  There are rocky lookouts, trails with incredible views, a tranquil lake perfect for a canoe ride and the most interesting ruins too!  It’s such a versatile and fun location and it’s absolutely perfect for any couple who wants to add some adventure to their engagement photos.

Shirley + Michael originally scheduled their engagement photos at the Bluffs but as soon as the lens cap came off the camera the skies opened up and everyone got soaked.  Luckily on this day there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the weather was perfect!  It was even warm enough for Tibby to join in on some of the lakeside fun!  (Psssst – if you love corgis then you absolutely need to follow Tibby on Instagram @tibbythecorgi !)

But enough about the worlds most adorable corgi and let’s get to showing off some pictures of the most adorable couple!Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement terre blue lavender farm engagement lavender farm engagement photos tibby the corgi rockwood conservation engagement photos with tibby the corgi Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement Photos rockwood ruins wedding photos rockwood conservation engagement shoot rockwood conservation engagement shoot Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement rockwood conservation engagement photos rockwood conservation engagement photos Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement Photos rockwood engagement photos swimming corgi tibby tibby the corgi in the water engagement photos in the water engagement photos in lake Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement Photos

If you’re an animal lover and want your fur baby at your engagement session, here are some:

Tips for Engagement Photos with Dogs

  • Make sure your location is pet-friendly.  The best kind of locations to include a dog in are natural areas such as conservation areas or trails.  Unless your dog is accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the inner city, an urban environment may not be the best idea for your puppers.
  • Have someone on standby for “doggy daycare”.  Having the pup around for a portion of your session is great but at a certain point you’re going to need to let go of the leash and focus on each other so having someone nearby to take care of the dog will help you enjoy your session stress free.
  • Bring treats – lots and lots of treats!  Sometimes animals will be weary of the camera so you can give them some treats to help make the experience more pleasurable for them.
