It’s been a while since I’ve blogged about real weddings, so needless to say, I’m quite behind! I was so excited when I got the call from Kim about wedding photography because she heard about me from friends of hers whose wedding I had photographed the previous year! Kim planned her wedding quite quickly and luckily, I was available within the short amount of time she had to plan, and I was more than happy to be a part of their special day.
Kim and Eric were married in April 2011 and had a beautiful, intimate wedding with only their closest friends and family. They chose a beautiful little venue called The Toronto Wedding Chappel. After a lovely bilingual ceremony, we went down to my most favourite location: The Royal York Hotel for photos and reception. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Royal York as it one truly one of Toronto’s most beautiful indoor wedding photography locations. For those of you learning to become a photographer, photographing at one of the most beautiful locations in Toronto is also quite the challenge as the low-light ambiance is not an ideal situation for photography. Learning how to properly use your flash in order to adequately light the subject while maintaining the ambiance of the environment is crucial in order to have a successful photo session at the Royal York.
Kim and Eric are so comfortable together that they made my job (posing and photographing them) so easy! We photographed in the Royal York lobby as well as in the 19th floor lounge, where they held their reception. Congratulations to you both and thank you for choosing Ten·2·Ten Photography to be a part of your special day!
