I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful afternoon with Stef & Jason, a young couple who are very much in love! Their engagement story is unique but also has timeless and beautiful traditional components to it. Before Jason popped the question on Good Friday, he took the time to formally ask for Stephanie’s parents blessing. So on Good Friday, the couple took a walk down through the Rattlesnake Point provincial park in Milton. They walked, and walked and walked… was Jason trying to stall? Well… kind of. He knew he had to keep Stephanie out of the house long enough for her family and friends to set up a wonderful party for them upon their return home! (Seriously, what a sweetie, eh?) Stephanie and Jason walked nearly 10 kilometers up to Crawford lake; at which point Jason popped out the most gorgeous engagement ring and Stephanie immediately said yes!
They decided to go back to the place where their journey to marriage began; at Rattlesnake Point and Crawford lake. It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to do a shoot in fresh and open outdoors location like this as being a photographer in Toronto usually keeps one shooting in various downtown Toronto locations. It was an absolute pleasure to get to with with Steph and Jay as we spent the afternoon walking, talking and creating beautiful memories for them.
