There are a million unique photography locations to take your engagement photos in Toronto but Ashley and Rob totally nailed it when they chose the Islands! These Toronto Island engagement photos will make your heart melt (no matter how chilly it looks in some of the photos). Enjoy!
As Ashley and Rob walked from the downtown parking lot to the Ferry docks with the wind blowing and the sun shining, we knew it was going to be a gorgeous yet chilly day. Luckily they came prepared and packed their hats and mittens for the days session. The Ferry ride to Toronto Island, although brief, was spectacular! The sun was shining, the waves were crisp and the air was fresh. Ashley and Rob cuddled to keep warm as we prepared to set foot on the island.
As we wandered around Toronto Island we made a little friend. A cute orange kitty cat made an appearance during the photos. (Perhaps the kitty knew we were all cat lovers and that it would get a lot of attention if it photobombed us.)
The chill started to sink in and it was nearly time to take cover. We walked over to the Rectory Cafe for some shelter… but more importantly, for some hot chocolate! The restaurant staff were incredibly kind and made one heck of a tasty hot chocolate. With our tummy’s full we headed back out, crossed the bridge and witnessed one of the most sensational sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. (There are very few places in Toronto where you can view a sunset with such an immense impact and astounding beauty.)
As the sunset turned into dark and the city came alive with lights, we were nearly prepared to call it a day. We had to get a photo with the Toronto skyline in it, though. Leaving without that wouldn’t be making full use of the Island! The last frame from our session is one of the most breahtaking photos I’ve ever captured and I’m so humbled that it’s part of Ashley and Rob’s love story!
