If you twisted my arm and made me choose my favourite wedding venues in Toronto, I think I’d have to put the Miller Lash House somewhere near the top of the list. Why, you ask? I could explain myself…. or you could take a look at these Miller Lash House wedding photos and draw your own conclusion.
Oh, you wanted to read? Awesome! I’ll elaborate.
One of the best things about the Miller Lash House is that it’s a “one stop shopping” type of place. The rooms inside the house are so darn pretty that your jaw will drop when you open the door to the bridal suite and see it for the first time. A little bit traditional, a little bit rustic and a whole lot of character. Some rooms are filled with a plethora of natural light while other rooms create a more dramatic effect. Really, any ambiance you may want can be available there.
The wedding ceremony at the Miller Lash house is also up there in the “WOW!” zone. There are many beautiful areas around the property filled with greenery for those who are opting for outdoor vow exchanges. While we definitely have some tips for planning an outdoor wedding ceremony, what’s great about the Miller Lash house is that the location is so large and the trees so tall that it’s more than possible to create beautiful shaded areas in which to exchange your vows.
Finally, I really enjoy the outdoor atmosphere you get when you host your reception in the reception tent. It’s an incredibly open concept tent which means that you get to be surrounded by the beauty of the venue (and not simple white tent walls). From the head table you may even be able to catch a glimpse of the sun setting over the horizon as you finish your dessert. A pretty great view for a pretty great day, no? You’ll get to see the reception detail in Part 2 of our Miller Lash House Wedding Photography entry (there were just too many photos to squeeze into one blog post!)
Have a peek at our Miller Lash House wedding photos from Aimee + Nick’s recent wedding. Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to return there next summer to capture another wedding day story. *fingers crossed*
