Hooray, you’ve found part 2 of our Miller Lash House wedding photography series. Clearly, we just loved photographing here so much that we had to separate the images into two different posts so it wouldn’t be overwhelming!
There’s no doubt that we love the Miller Lash House. Why? Well, is it not obvious? The indoor areas are jaw-dropping and perfect for a classy and rich vibe to your wedding morning and the outdoor wedding ceremony location is flawless. But most of all, we really love the outdoor tent reception area as the lighting is superb! Being a Toronto wedding photographer, we often don’t get the opportunity to photograph receptions in natural light since outdoor receptions aren’t that popular in a country where our summers can be rainy and unpredictable (so jealous of you, California!) Having had the opportunity to photography the gorgeous reception details at Aimee + Nick’s wedding made me so darn happy I wish I could do it over and over and over again!!
Aside from the details, wedding reception photography is all about capturing emotion. It’s the time of the day when the formalities are nearing an end and you can finally sit down and take a load off and slip on some flats instead of your 4-inch heels. I love photographing the reaction of not only the bride and groom but those of the guests – especially during the speeches. Having images of genuine smiles and belly laughter will allow you to reminisce over the great times and the great people you had present with you on the wedding day. The majority of our clients opt for us to stay and cover the reception and we’re more than happy to do so since it’s such a wonderful time for candid shots – and even better, dancing pictures!! As a wedding guest, one of the best things you can do it get up on the dance floor when the party starts and shake what your mama gave you! The bride and groom put a lot of attention and detail into the music, playlist and ambiance so when they see their guests grooving to the tunes, it brings an extra big smile to their faces.
Here are our remaining faves from Aimee + Nick’s Miller Lash House wedding, enjoy!
