It’s been a while since I’ve posted a wedding day entry and Stephanie & Jason’s images are definately worth the wait! If you follow my blog regularly you will recognize Stephanie & Jason’s from their Rattlesnake Park and Crawford Lake engagement photos as well from their custom engagement photo album.
Stephanie and Jason were married on June 2nd, 2012. Stephanie and Jason opted for two professional wedding photographers in order to get all of the morning coverage they wanted. My partner’s day started with the boys getting ready while I met up with Stephanie, her bridesmaids and her family at her family home. Stephanie’s beuatiful trumpet-style wedding dress was hanging in her parent’s room when I arrived and I was floored by the beauty of it! The beading and details were absolutely gorgeous – I couldn’t want to see Stephanie in it!
Stephanie didn’t get into the dress right away… infact, it took a team of three people to help her dive into her dress! Remember girls, when you’re shopping for your dress, keep in mind that you will have a veil on and your hair done up when you try to get into it on the morning of your wedding. But, Stephanie is a champ! She wins this summer’s award for most cool and collected bride as she had to dive into her wedding dress. After the dress went on, the final details were captured before we headed off to Christ the King church for an early morning ceremony.
Stephanie and Jason chose to have their formal photos taken in a variety of locations including Queen’s Jubilee II Garden, Mississauga City Hall (a.k.a. Mississauga Civic Center) as well as Kariya Park. The forecast called for rain for most of the day but Stephanie and Jason must have had someone looking over them because the rain held off until the very end of the formal photos.
The reception took place at Oasis Convention Center in Mississauga – an absolutely lovely location with delicious food and a truly wonderful staff. The speeches from Stephanie and Jason’s friends and family were truly heartfelt and very emotional – you could really tell just how much Stephanie and Jason are loved by all around them. After the speeches were done and the family dances were complete, Stephanie and Jason had a surprise for their flower girls – a special birthday cake! Leave it to the thoughtful Mr. and Mrs. Tucker to take a moment out of their special day to do something special for their loved one. What a beautiful gesture!
Along side with me all day was Tony and Johnny from VideoGems videography and cinematography service. Tony and Johnny were probably the most amazing videographers I’ve had a chance to work with. Without ever meeting each other before, we synced up perfectly together and neither of us missed a single shot or got in each other’s way. I really hope I get to work with them again in the future – it was a truly fantastic experience.
Our evening finished with the bouquet and garter toss and the traditional Portugese seafood buffet. Stephanie and Jason, along with their friends, families and amazing vendors, put together a truly perfect wedding day.
Congratulations Steph and Jason! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your Toronto wedding photographer for your special day.
