I am currently in the middle of setting up my in-home studio for a newborn session.  As I gather the dozens upon dozens of backdrops, blankets and props and transform my living room into a professional studio, I have decided that this will be the last time my home undergoes such a transformation.

I love photography – there’s no question about that.  I used to get a thrill from all types of photography: wedding, engagement, newborn, maternity, etc.  (And as any artist out there knows, you need that thrill, that passion, that incredible love for the art in order to produce beautiful work.)  Although I still love newborn, maternity and family photography, I have found that over the past year, the thrill and excitement I have when I photograph a wedding or an engagement session far exceeds the thrill that portrait photography offers me.

Effective today, August 7th 2011, I will no longer be accepting any new portrait clients as my services will be limited to strictly wedding and engagement photography.

I am not cancelling  any current sessions – all clients with pending portrait sessions will have their session, but I am no longer accepting any new portrait bookings.  I will, however, make  an exception for any current or future contest winners.  As many of you know, I love having elaborate contests on my Facebook Page where the winners often  receive elaborate prize packages.  I will always offer full portrait services for any contest winners.

Although I am sad that I will no longer be offering portrait services (since it has allowed me  to meet and work with so many wonderful people), I am excited that I am able  to pursue a future strictly focused on wedding and engagement photography.  Thank you so much to all those clients who have made Ten·2·Ten Photography what it is today.
