CNE Engagement Shoot: Toronto Engagement Photographer

August was an amazing month for Ten·2·Ten Photography. Not only were we right in the middle of our busy season, getting to enjoy our job weekend after weekend as we photographed countless weddings, we also got to take an evening to relax with a CNE engagement shoot. And before you ask, yes – it involved lots of tasty, tasty treats too! (Sorry folks, the cronut burger place by already shut down so no pictures of that!)

Jenny and Ernest, only engaged for a few weeks at the time, wanted something unique, fun and really different for their summertime engagement session. When Jenny, who makes most of her decisions based on food cravings, heard about taking CNE engagement pictures she jumped on the idea – provided she could have a corndog at some point during the session. Who am I to deny a girl her corndog? Let’s go to the ex!

Our session started with… you guessed it… corn dogs! After indulging in the deliciously deepfried treats Jenny and Ernest went to see all the sights of The Ex: the signs, the lights, the bright colours – so magnificent! The lovebirds decided to play a few games before we hopped on the teacup ferris wheel.

Anyone who knows me knows that I truly hate heights. Getting on the teacup ferris wheel with Ernest and Jenny was a monumental moment for me as I overcame my fear! (Well, kind of overcame it… I did have to increase my shutter speed to help avoid camera shake!) Needless to say, the experience was worth it!

Once the sun set, we marveled in the bright lights of the rides and shot a few more frames before calling it a day. What an experience it was – for both the couple, and for the photographer!

Now, there’s only 1 question left. Would Jenny be willing to have a CNE wedding shoot, too? (If I’ve learned anything – I can bribe her with corndogs. Wish me luck, folks!)
