Toronto Island Engagement Photos: Toronto Wedding Photographer
Sometimes, when I post photos this pretty, I feel like I need to stand up in a group and confess: “Hi, I’m Erika – I’m a Toronto wedding photographer and I’m addicted to taking photos on Toronto Island”. I’ve had the chance to visit Toronto Island several times in the past year and I could go back time and time again! Yes, it just may be an addiction… but what’s a girl going to do about it? Toronto Island offers everything you want for your engagement photos: rich and beautiful backgrounds, adorable houses and community centers that are painted in vibrant colours, a breathtaking view of the Toronto Skyline, bridges, streams, walkways and most importantly… ice cream!!
Amy and Fernando chose Toronto Island Engagement photos to help tell the story of their love for each other. This crazy-fun and super adorable couple spent an evening exploring Ward’s Island – here are some of my favourites from the day:
There’s nothing like an impromptu game of fooseball during your engagement photos! Seriously, Ward’s Island has everything a fun-loving couple will ever want for a sweet date night with each other!
When we got to the Ward’s Island club house, I was on the lookout for my friend. In the past, this cute little orange kitty has photobombed me at this exact location. I’m not sure who the cat belongs to or what his name is, but I’ve started calling him Island George. I was so sad when Island George didn’t make an appearance this day – guess I’ll have to go back and take more engagement photos on Toronto Island and see if I can catch him in the future!
Everything that’s special to you should appear in your engagement photos – especially your favourite team!
As the sun went down the city slowly started to light up, the rain began to fall and the wind was whipping off the lake with enough force to neary knock you over. Lucky for me, Amy and Fernando are awesome and didn’t mind withstanding the wind for a sweet night-time shot as we finished up the session and headed back to the city.
Thank you Amy & Fernando for allowing me to capture this story! I can’t wait for your wedding day to get here! xoxo
