One of the nicest and most popular wedding venues in Toronto is the Rosewater Room. These Rosewater wedding photos will show you exactly why. The Rosewater is a moderate sized venue that allows not only room for dancing but still maintains it’s intimate feel. The food is delicious (a very important part of a wedding day) and it’s located right downtown so there are so many convenient photography locations for formal photos within a short walking distance.
As a team of Toronto wedding photographers, quite a few of our inquiries are for ballroom style weddings. While the Rosewater may be considered a “ballroom” by some; from our perspective, it’s a much more intimate and unique venue than any ballroom we’ve ever been. It’s truly a beautiful location.
Before I get ahead of myself, though, it’s talk about the wedding morning!
The wedding morning was quiet – something that is different from most wedding mornings. The bride was getting beautified with hair and makeup and there wasn’t a peep in the house until her nephew walked in. The atmosphere was so relaxing that you wouldn’t believe that there was going to be a huge celebration that day!
A traditional church ceremony commenced as soon as everyone was dressed and ready to go. Family and friends gathered to celebrate the union.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom and I traveled to Knox College. Seriously folks, Knox College wedding photos are just AWESOME. It’s such a gorgeous location; the drama of the lighting and the architecture that is typical of U of T add to the beauty of the images captured there. The grand staircase, of course, is the obvious place to start a portrait session. For photographers like myself who use additional lighting gear (as well as natural light), you can get really creative at Knox College and we love, love, LOVE shooting there!
It’s time to hop into the car and head back to The Rosewater Room and meet up with the wedding party for a few more pictures and then the party!
Clearly, the best photobomb ever!
This Rosewater Room wedding is in full swing now that the dancefloor is open (and the bar, of course!) Time to party and enjoy the rest of the evening!
