I’ve had the opportunity to capture engagement photos in a love of beautiful locations before – cherry beach, the Scarborough bluffs and the Evergreen Brickworks just to name a few of my favourite places. After capturing these Pillitteri Estates Winery engagement photos; however, I think I need to add a new favourite location to my list!
I love Toronto – but if you hop in the car and take a teensy little drive to the south west, you find yourself in a whole other world of beauty, although I don’t need to tell you, the photos show it for themselves.
When Sean proposed to Jess, he pulled out all the stops. He planned a romantic day at a winery and amongst the fields of green, asked her to marry him. When it came time to choosing a location for their engagement photos, it was a no brainer – head back to wine country! A quick drive later and we were at Pillitteri Estates Winery – one of the most gorgeous wineries in the Niagara region.
The session began in the cellars. The minute the door opened and the cold air hit our skin, we knew this was going to be unique experience. The cellars at Pillitteri’s are both functional AND beautiful as you’re greated with not only the warm colour casts from the barrels but an infinitely long table that begs for people to join around and sample the latest creations.
Although still early in the season for the vines to be in full bloom, Pillitteri’s doesn’t limit itself to only one type of fruit. In the front yard, several rows of cherry trees serve as the perfect background, accented of course by the red barn building. Do we still have our wine glasses with us? You bet we do!
The day was hot, and the sun was beating down on us. Harsh sunlight may not be a photographers go-to type of lighting, but you can definitely make it work for you in some instances.
One last kiss and the wrapped up for the day!
Congratulations to you both, Sean and Jess, I cannot tell you how excited I am to capture the moment you become husband and wife!
