We love being wedding photographers. We love living in Toronto. Needless to say, we love being Toronto wedding photographers. With an intense love for this city, we are always extra keen on capturing iconic pieces of our city in our images. There’s nothing more iconic than the Toronto skyline and it can be seen clearly in Kathy and Derrick’s Polson Pier engagement photos.
History of Polson Pier
Polson Pier is very famous as a large entertainment complex where visitors love to go and spend time. The ferry also docks nearby so it’s easily accessible by anyone.
Polson Pier is a great place to take your engagement photos. You can wander down by the Sound Academy and get close to the water or you can be adventurous (or competitive?) and stop by the Go-Kart track for a little extra fun. If you like the water, you’ll want to make sure to take a walk by the bridge as we did during our session. The view is industrial but iconic. The teal painted railings with years of rust peeking through adding a pop of colour to the area in addition to that of the golden sun which sets just behind the CN tower. As you continue to walk through the Polson Pier neighbourhood, the buildings serve as a great backdrop for additional photos. The more you walk, the more you see and the more memories you make.
Polson Pier is just north of Cherry Beach; and if you’ll recall from our Cherry Beach engagement photo post, Kathy and Derrick opted to hang out in both awesome locations for their photoshoot.
We chose this image to wrap up our session because it sums up the evening perfectly. Kathy and Derrick are so, SO in love with each other. They are incredibly comfortable with each other and in each other’s arms. Smiles come naturally, laughter comes naturally and love, too, comes naturally. To Kathy and Derrick; a couple who loves incredibly deeply; congratulations again on your engagement and we look forward to celebrating with you on your wedding day!
