Matt + Becca’s Elora Mill wedding had to be, hands down, one of my favourite weddings of the year. Not only is Elora Mill an amazing location, Matt and Becca were truly a photographers dream. Flying up from sunny California for their “destination wedding” here in Ontario, they brought their amazing friends and families with them to celebrate the day and every single one of them made me feel like a part of the family. To that, a huge thank you is in order! You are all so awesome!
The morning starting at the Elora Mill Inn for both Matt and Becca. There are so many rooms at the inn to choose from and I love that Matt’s room was darker and dramatic while Becca’s was lighter and brighter. They opted for a first look and chose to do it in their reception hall, the Grand room. There are these amazing sliding doors in the Grand room that will take your breath away and are truly perfect for a first look.
After only a few little tears were shed, we headed over to the Foundry building, where the ceremony was going to be, for photos. There are some amazing brick structures at the Foundry building to create a wide variety of images. Before the guests started to arrive, though, (and before the rain came!) we wrapped up and Becca went to go hide as Matt took his spot at the front of the aisle. Incorporating various traditions, Matt and Becca’s ceremony was truly meaningful.
The reception was in the Grand room at Elora Mill; a sight to behold! When you are looking at booking an Elora Mill wedding there are a few room options to choose from, but the Grand room is certainly the way to go! The decor was absolutely perfect and worked so well with the existing architecture in the room. While the guests drank on the rooftop patio, we carefully captured all the little details that Becca and Matt worked so hard on planning. Dinner and speeches were next and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. These tears, however, were from laughter! Every person that spoke had a great gift for speaking and kept everyone entertained!
To Matt & Becca, I hope you loved your wedding at Elora Mill as much as I did! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of the day.
